DIMD
DIMD, "Dimensional Daemon," is a server that coincides with the mud that handles trans-mud tells, whos, gossips, and so on. All of the DIMD commands are prefixed with a "d" ("dtell", "dwho", and so on...) In order for these commands to work, you must specify a mud that is running a DIMD server as well. You will not be able to connect to a mud that is not running a DIMD server.
Because multi-dimensional gossips would be extremely annoying, you are only permitted to a certain number of DIMD transactions during a given time period. All mortals start out with 5 DIMD transactions. Each time you use DIMD, you lose one DIMD credit. You will regenerate a DIMD once per tick up to your maximum of five. Therefore, do not abuse DIMD with idle gossips, tells, and so on.
Immortals get a maximum of 5+Immortal Level and regenerate 1+(Immortal Level/2) transactions per tick. For example, a Creator, a second level immortal, gets a maximum of 7 DIMD transactions at a given instant and regenerates 2 transactions per tick.
WARNING: We will be quick to take DIMD rights away from players who abuse them, and we will be slow to restore them. It is one thing to abuse the mud you are on, but quite another to annoy another mud as well. If a bunch of people abuse DIMD, we will slow the regen rate and lower the maximum number of DIMD transactions. But, since we normally love you all, we'd rather not do that.

DODGE
Syntax:
dodge <victim name>
The dodge skill basically attempts to dodge your opponents blows. The chance of successfully dodging a foe is significantly lower than that for the parry but your character will get their full number of attacks. In addition, if your character is dodging, he or she will have an increased chance of avoiding hostile magic spells although this chance is still quite small.

DPONDER

This command (dimensional ponder) is used to gossip over another mud's avatar ponder channel. The mud that you name must understand to communicate with this mud however. In addition, some muds may not permit outside ponders to take place on their mud.

DRAW
Syntax:

DTELL
Syntax:
dtell <person> [at] <mud name> <message>
The dtell command (dimensional tell) is used to talk to players who are on a different mud. You can only communicate with other muds that understand how to talk to this mud, however. Use the dlist command for a list of muds that support this protocol.
Example:
dtell john skymud Hello!
DUAL-SWITCH
See DUAL-WIELD
DUAL-WIELD
(also DUAL-SWITCH)
Syntax:
switch
The dual wield skill permits you to wield two weapons at the same time. You will get a possible extra attack with the second weapon if you succeed. The second weapon can be wielded normally just like your primary weapon. You cannot, however, hold something or use a shield while dual wielding. In addition, the total weight of both of the weapons plus an additional 20% of the weight of the second weapon must not exceed your regular wielding weight limit.
In addition, if you fail any of your primary attacks (fail as in fail to get as opposed to failing to hit), you will get a shot at the attack with your dual wielded weapon.
The dual switch skill lets you switch weapons between your "wielded" and "held" weapons. The syntax to do this is as follows:
DWHO
Syntax:
dwho <mud name> [who parameters]
This command (dimensional who) is used to list the people who are logged into the mud that you supply. The mud that you name must be able to understand how to talk to this mud, however. Use the ilist vccommand for a list of such muds.
Example:
dwho skymud
The "who parameters" are dependant on the mud you are remote whoing over. IF you are doing a dwho on a TeraMud-style mud, you can use all of the options that fall under who, like dwho skymud 50 100.
NOTE: dwho requires TWO DIMD credits instead of one.
