Rituals of the Religion of Tor
Generalities
When beginning anything, be it an adventure through dungeons or a hopeful deal with another merchant or a marriage or even something as simple as a trip to the local market, a true worshiper of Tor runs through a simple ritual. He(or She) would sacrifice a piece of food and a small portion of drink while intoning a short prayer to the god.
The symbol of Tor is a silver fork. His animal is a panda bear.
The altars and temples dedicated to Tor
- Altars
- Altars are usually a rectangular stone slab with two bowls. One bowl should contain water. The other bowl contains some bite size morsel of food. On holidays, feasts or special ocassions, the bowl should contain a portion of food for one person.
- Temples
- Temples, too, are simplistic in nature. Tor's temples are usually made of stone. Any precious items are prohibited to be adorned on any of the walls or doors of the temple. The front of the temple will always been open to the public. In this area, a fountain or well is located plus a small booth with bread offered (day and night). Every meal time, the fountain or well is purified and the food in the temple is blessed.
