The Grey Knights of the BalanceThe founding of the Grey Knights, as told by their historian.
History as of the 30th Day of the Month of the Flowers, Year 147
The Grey Knights have recently arrived in the Realms of Tera. Their first member, a Ranger named Dumathorin, was sorely wounded and near death when he met our current Clan Leader, Shelantra.
Dumathorin lived long enough to pass on his tale and give Shelantra the Mysterious Book of the Guild, which contains its rules and regulations.
Apparently Dumathorin was a Journeyman Knight out on his second adventure when he got involved in a mage battle that sent him into the Dalahari Forest. He appeared fifty feet in the air and landed badly on the ground. At this time Shelantra was making her way to the Druid Guildmaster by Illivae. She heard the tree branches snapping, a voice cry out for help, and the sickening thump of something big hitting the ground.
Shelantra was able to tend to some of Dumathorin's wounds and carry him to a secluded grove close by. There he told her about his Guild, called the Grey Knights. His story inspired her so much that after his death she was determined to continue his work here. She gave him a proper burial and set out on her new quest — funding.
Luckily for Shelantra she had a few powerful friends. The first of whom was the powerful pixie Zelefex (this was way before he became a god). With him and many others, her goal was quickly reached.
Two months later the Grey Knights came into being, and active recruiting began. This is today: the 30th Day of the Month of the Flowers, Year 147.
History as of the 32nd Day of the Month of the Frost Giant, Year 165
The Grey Knights formed up slowly. Torel was the first to sign up. Then others: Soluxx, Rhavi, Linnet, Azuth, Porsche, Stryke, Blackwell, Armoth, Dozan, Reynard, Shokar, and Aicidama.
In the following years many other clans formed. The Grey Knights never had as many people as these other clans, but they survived. Shelantra had mysteriously disappeared for long periods of time. The clan tried to run itself, but failed. Only Stryke tried to prevail, but he too lost the battle. Shelantra finally reappeared one year ago. She began to take charge again. No one knew where she had gone off to, and her reply is vague. Recruiting began again. This time Shelantra had a renewed sense of vigor and purpose. A clan Hall was being built, and she was now able to sense what the clan's purpose was. Arcyion, Yellow Thunder, Slyff New Moons, Shelantra, and Torel are the new clan — with more members to come, hopefully.
